Few artists become famous, financially stable and have no day jobs. Whereas indigenous community of artists grafting away in their day jobs, meanwhile doing their artwork at whatever hour possible. In a capitalist era; capital, profit is 'king', but is it taking us anywhere and are the rewards rewarding. On the whole most people are unhappy with their day jobs, artist or none artist. In a faulty system, a content state is far from achievable. Discomfort of false aspirations of the perfect job: creates delusions, increases gateway for advertisers to portray unrealistic fantastical lifestyles. A day job promises everything money can buy, and we don't need.
Open call for artwork submission for DAY JOB ART SHOW, please submit artwork: 45/A4/A3 size, we're open to sculptors and videos. Submission criteria is broad, only type of artwork we cannot include in exhibition artwork that exploits: men, women and animals. Please email submissions to: indraandsamia@gmail.com.
